• 2019 HERS RESIDENTIAL NEW CONSTRUCTION
    (ONLINE COURSE)

    HERS Residential New Construction course focuses on five main topics: Building Envelope, Quality Installed Insulation, Ventilation and IAQ, Domestic Hot Water and additional performance credits for HVAC systems which are not covered in existing homes (Alterations). Within these categories are 30 potential performance based credits that builders can use to show compliance with Energy Efficiency Standards, Title24, Part 6. Students will gain a deeper understanding of the Performance approach as well as additional requirements found only in newly constructed buildings.

    Prerequisites: You must be a Certified HERS Residential Alterations Rater
    (Complete and Pass HERS Residential Alterations Fundamentals, and HERS Residential Alterations Hands-On Lab, and HERS Residential Alterations Field House Exam).
